Team Introduction

At Daewoong Biologics Indonesia, we are building a dedicated and dynamic sales team to drive the success of our innovative new-entity products. This team is comprised of experienced leaders and passionate professionals, including a Sales Director, National Sales Manager, Regional Sales Managers, Area Managers, and Medical Representatives, all working collaboratively to achieve our mission of transforming healthcare in Indonesia. Each member of the team plays a vital role, with hands-on managers responsible for supervising Medical Representatives within their assigned territories. They will ensure that their teams are motivated, equipped, and aligned with company strategies to drive success on the ground.

We are seeking a Area Manager (Jawa Timur) who are passionate about improving lives through pharmaceutical innovation and meet the qualifications below, we invite you to join our growing team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Oversight:
    • Manage the performance of Medical Representatives within a specific area (East Java, Kalimantan and Sulawesi).
    • Plan and oversee the execution of promotional activities and sales initiatives in the territory.
  • Team Support:
    • Conduct regular field visits to support and guide Medical Representatives.
    • Provide training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance standards.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Build and nurture relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Sales Monitoring:
    • Monitor individual and team sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Ensure timely reporting of sales data, market feedback, and competitor activity.
  • Operational Coordination:
    • Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure product availability.
    • Work with marketing teams to implement area-specific promotional campaigns.
Requirements
Required:
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in diabetes drug. Preferrably from multinational pharmaceutical companies. (1-2 years in a supervisory role is preferred).

Preferred:

  • Experience managing a team of medical representatives and achieving area-specific sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of local healthcare market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Proven ability to execute marketing campaigns and promotional strategies effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with territory management and planning tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area (East Java, Kalimantan and Sulawesi).
  • Will be based in Surabaya.
