Team Introduction
The Market Access team plays a pivotal role in establishing Daewoong’s presence and reputation in Indonesia. Working closely with Regulatory Affairs and other key departments, the team is responsible for creating and executing strategies to enhance patient access to Daewoong's innovative treatments. This includes ensuring compliance with local regulations, securing product listings in national healthcare systems like BPJS and Fornas, and aligning access initiatives with commercial objectives.
The team actively engages with stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, government officials, and industry associations to foster relationships, advocate for Daewoong’s products, and position the company as a trusted partner in improving public health. By leading cross-functional collaborations, the Market Access team works to address patient needs, improve treatment availability, and build awareness of Daewoong’s commitment to advancing healthcare in Indonesia.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Market Access Manager to lead our efforts in Indonesia’s healthcare market. The successful candidate will develop and execute market access strategies, foster key stakeholder relationships, and ensure compliance with local regulations to facilitate the successful entry and sustained presence of our products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Development and Implementation of Market Access Strategies
- Design tailored market access strategies specific to Indonesia, ensuring timely and successful product entry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, sales, medical affairs, regulatory, and government affairs—to align strategies with overall business objectives.
2. Pricing and Reimbursement
- Conduct detailed analyses of Indonesia’s pricing and reimbursement landscape to establish optimal pricing models for new and existing products.
- Lead reimbursement submissions and negotiations with key entities such as BPJS Kesehatan (Indonesia’s National Health Insurance System), private insurers, and hospitals.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including BPJS, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), regulatory agencies, hospital procurement teams, and patient advocacy groups.
- Represent the company in discussions related to market access, advocating for product inclusion and favorable policies.
- Engage proactively in Fores fornas decision-making processes to promote product adoption.
4. Policy Monitoring and Advocacy
- Monitor updates and changes in Indonesia’s healthcare policies, regulations, and reimbursement frameworks (e.g., e-catalog, INA-CBGs).
- Advocate for policies aligned with the company’s strategic goals through effective stakeholder engagement and policymaker interactions.
5. Compliance
- Ensure all market access activities adhere to Indonesian legal regulations, including pricing, reimbursement laws, and internal company policies.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Public Health, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or healthcare policy within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry (preferably within multinational companies).
- Fluency in English is required.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, or MSc in Health Economics is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Indonesia’s healthcare system, including BPJS Kesehatan, e-catalog processes, INA-CBGs, and hospital reimbursement systems.
- Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills, particularly in health economic modeling and market assessment.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience engaging with government agencies and healthcare providers.
